Potato Dough Knishes
Ingredients:
Dough:
1 | lb. Potatoes |
1 | Onion chopped and lightly browned |
Salt and Pepper | |
1 | Egg |
½ | cup Flour |
Filling:
1 | lbs. or 2 cups of ground cooked beef or lung or any substitute |
1 | Egg |
1 | Onion |
Seasoning to taste |
Directions:
Mash boiled potatoes with onion, egg, seasoning and gradually add flour. Place large spoonful of dough mixture on well greased cookie sheet. Add 1 Tbsp. of filling ingredients (after mixing thorooughly) on potato mixture and cover with another spoonful of potato mixture. Clamp dough edges loosely with fingers. Bake in oven at 350° degrees for 20 minutes.
