Passover Brownies with Walnuts
Ingredients:
3½ | oz. Elite Passover Bittersweet Chocolate |
¼ | cup All Purpose Shortening |
2 | Eggs |
¾ | cup Sugar |
1 | tsp. Lemon Juice |
⅓ | cup Cake Meal |
½ | cup coarsely chopped Walnuts |
Directions:
Break chocolate into small pieces and melt with shortening using a double boiler. Let cool ,
Beat Eggs with beater until light and thick. Gradually beat in sugar. Beat in cooled, but not set, chocolate mixture and lemon juice.
Beat in cake meal, a little at a time, until well blended.
Fold in chopped walnuts.
Turn mixture into a well greased 8 inch pan. Spread batter evenly over pan.
Bake in a 350 degree over for 30 to 50 minutes. Let cool in a pan and cut into squares.
