Hamburger Corn Pone Pie
Ingredients:
1 | lb. Ground Beef |
⅓ | cup chopped Onion |
1 | tsp. Shortening |
2 | tsp. Chili Powder |
¾ | tsp. Salt |
1 | tsp. Worcestershire Sauce |
1 | cup Canned Tomatoes |
1 | cup drained canned Kidney Beans |
1 | cup Corn-Bread Batter (1/2 pkg. corn-bread mix) |
Directions:
Brown meat and chopped onion in melted shortening.
Add seasonings and tomatoes. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 mins.
Add kidney beans. Pour meat mixture into a greased 1 1/2 qt. casserole.
Top with corn-bread batter, spreading carefully with a wet knife. Bake in a 425 oven for 20 minutes.
